  1. Well let us see, the Field Station is exactly what it says that it is. It is a place for you to gain in the field on-site knowledge and experience. Now of course there are classrooms where you sit down and do course work but that is a very small part of what you would actually be doing. At the field station a prime example of how hands-on it is would be our trip today. We had a chance to go around and see various areas where wild hogs had rooted up the ground, we also had the chance to go by and visit the ecology lab where a lot of the research is done as far as the wildlife. The neatest thing was probably seeing the alligator named stumpy eat his food it was pretty amazing how he just swallowed it whole.

  2. The field station is an excellent place to broaden your knowledge of environmental science. I really love this program and cant wait untill next summer. I think that everyon that is studying some kind of science should come to the field station. It opens up a variety of things. We had alot of field trips that seems to offer job oppertunities and also may open up something that you did not think that you would be doing. You also get to meet people that share your same views in science and have fun while you doing it.

  3. The field station is a new and exciting expericence. It is a place where you can be exposed to all sorts of different people and eperiences. I have learned so much about things I never would have expected to learn about. We got to see where South Carolina's drinking water comes from & explore a nuclear power plant! These are the sort of experiences most people don't have an opportunity to partake in. I am very grateful for my position at the fieldstation!

  4. The field station is a very good experience. Your knowledge be filly developed on things you didnt know. Then your experience and knowledge could be utilized in the next internship, job or class you seek. I was taught and seen so many things I never learned or saw before. I really recommend the field station to others seeking an internship for the summer of 2010. I know this will be one of my opyions.
