Mr. Wilson is the best. He is very helpful and he makes him self clear even with the accent. He explains everything throughly to us and he still makes it fun to learn. I thought he was going to be hard, but he fooled me. I enjoy his class and wouldn't mind having him for a professor at my college. From a scale to 1-10 I give him a 9.9!!! Not a 10 because he has some flaws, but only a little.LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Wilson is a great instructor. He makes you think outside of the box. Some may not like the quizes that he gives, but I like them it gives you a recap to what you already have dicussed. He makes everything that maybe difficult very easy. Now he is not the strictest teacher, he's very layed back but he dont play wen it comes to not doing your work, or being disrespectful. I very much enjoy his class and am very glad that im in ENV 300!
ReplyDeleteThe Env. 300 class instructor, Prof. E. Wilson definitly knows what he is talks about. With a special affinity for space science, he enthusiastically unleashes the topic of the day to the class in an exciting way. Say 'yes'....
ReplyDelete"Hi Mr. Wilson," I always say when I see in the lobby downstairs, and he always replies" How you doin?" He is such a material for this. I dont think we are lacking in any knowledge related to this corse of study. He is really doin well. Prof. Wilson is an easy going man that accept things the way they are. He also does a lot of un things.. alone, and with us sometimes.. there aint nothing better though..
ReplyDeleteNot only do our Professors need to be rated but also our TA'S( Teacher Assisstants) Each class is assigned with a or a couple TA'S. Our TA's for Mr. WIlson's class is Kathlyn(sp?) and Everton. Now our TA's work really hard they schedule things for us like educational outings(Field trips) and little things around the dormitory for us to do. Without the dedicated TA'S it would be some things that we wouldnt be able to do at all. I really appreciate the work that they do as in grading papers and other things for us. Keep up the GOOD WORK!!
ReplyDeleteFor ENV 492 our assigned proffeson is Dr Lynn Wike, and I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!! He has to be the best teacher. Not only is he is very understanding on what the students want out of the class but also he tries to make the class fun and hands on so that we dont sit in the classroom all day and do book work. Because he used to work on the SRS he is very knowledgable on numerous subjects,i'd call him a jack of all trades. I really enjoyed being in his class
ReplyDeleteWell let us start with professor Wike. He is the professor for the Env 492 class and to be honest I would say that he is doing a pretty damn good job. Upon clearing up the confusion about this being an internship he has completely turned the class around so that we can get more hands-on practical feild experience that we would get if doing a real life job as a biologist working with a company. Sometimes he does go off on a rant about things and talks as if we knew everything in the world about wildlife but it's ok because it shows us just how passionate about his work he is.
ReplyDeleteNow my other professor Dr. Wilson well what can I say, well first off you must say yes, so say yes. For those of you who are in his class you know what I am talking about. He is also a great professor. I can tell that he wants us to develop a great passion for our work as he as for his. Sometimes he can be a little tedious and particular about the work but it is ok. The only that I am not sure if he realizes it is that with some of the things we don't exactly have all of the resources to make happen. Above all he is a great professor, very entertaining, and his he one of the best well just say yes.
ReplyDeleteProfessor Wilson!!!!!!!!!!! As said in the movie Dennis the menice. he is one of the best teachers i have had. And i really never like any of my science teachers. He incorprates life skills, poltices, examples, and basic concepts of science all together. At first when i saw him i thought he was going to be the meanist teacher ever and i hoped and prayed that he was not my instructor. But when i found out he was my teacher i said well prayers aren't always answered. When we had our first day of class i had to as i call it "eat my words." he was the most kindess person in the wrold. He is one person i will miss and wish i could take to school with me next year in fall 09.
ReplyDeleteAlso!! If we were to rate out TA's i love mine(randy Savage aka yung riff raff,lol) He is real cool and doesnt talk down to the students as the TA's in the past. I like interacting with him because he is from the islands which is so different from wher i am from(Detroit). We love exchanging stories from back home and comparing the culture. He participates in all the activities we are doing which makes me feel as if we are on the same page!!

ReplyDeleteIm sorry but when I finished posting the last post I thought how could I post all those awsome things about those wonderful instructors and not at all, lol not a once mention the wonderful TA's(teacher assisstants). Kathlyn and Everton, oh and we can not forget about Radndy they are some of the best teacher assisstants that you will find. They break thier back to make sure that some of the things that we have planned goes through and for that I am so very appreciative!

ReplyDeleteEverton,Kathlyn, and Ronnie are the best TA'S in the world. They keep us posted on everything thats going on. Wednesdays are essential for most of us because that is when we can express what are the ends and outs of the program. Sometimes they asks what are the problems of the program and almost everytime I leave it blank because there are no problems with this program that I like it alot.

ReplyDeleteUnlike some of the other interns I have two classes. and Mr. Wikes is so awesome. Even though we have alot of testing that deals with insects I still like him as a instructor. He keeps our minds very broad and we open up to a whole new experience when we are ith and around him. When you introduced the insects and said insects are arthropods, having a hard exoskeleton, a three-part body (head, thorax, and abdomen), three pairs of jointed legs, compound eyes, and two antennae. They are the most diverse group of animals on the planet and include approximately 2,200 species of praying mantis, 5,000 dragonfly, 20,000 grasshopper, 82,000 true bug, 120,000 fly, 110,000 bee, wasp, ant and sawfly, 170,000 butterfly and moth, and 360,000 beetle species described to date. I was in awe!
ReplyDeleteThe TA's in this program are the best. I have done another internship before and the TA'S were so lazy. They didnt do anything. When they were supposed to be helpnig us they were always on theyre phones. I thought that was so unproffesional. But not everyone can reach these high standards of this Internship! LOvE Yall!

I am also impressed at how he is not only here for the money but he actually know alot about science too. This really intrigued me when I found out this about him. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

She catches us on our mistakes and she not only make us learn from them but she teaches alternate ways to our troubles in our studies. I really like and respect her because she deals with alot and she handles alot to. I APPRECIATE YOU!
ReplyDeleteWhy now Mr. Wilson is some piece of work. They did a great job when they selected Mr.Wilson because he be on it with the varieties of tipics that he gives us. like Earth science generally recognizes 4 spheres, the lithosphere, the hydrosphere, the atmosphere, and the biosphere. That is some deep stuff but there is no other prffessor that I would rather select because he be on point!
ReplyDeleteKathlyn is one of or TA'S and she be helping out my Proffessor Mr. Wilson. She be on point with it too. She make sure that every I is dotted and every T is crossed. She says that she runs a tight shift and I really believe her because when she grades the essays and the work that is givin to us by Mr. Wilson She makes sure that everything is on point before we get our final grade. She basically tries to find out all the ins and outs.

I be just playing because without everton we woldnt be able to do alot of things that we get to do so i apprecite all the things that he does for us. Sometimes we take things for granted but they are one of the keys that keep togehther the progam so without them we probrably so out of luck for alot of things! I really am having a great time.
ReplyDeleteSince I am only enrolled in one course, the only professor I have interacted with has been Professor Wilson. He is very passionate about the subject he teaches and can become so enthused sometimes he gets a little long winded. Since I am not an audio learner and can't stand lectures with no type of visual aide, I was very grateful for all the field trips he arranged for us.
ReplyDeleteI feel Professor Wilson is a great teacher, I am always amazed on how he can relate any topic that we are talking about to space. I wish he was teachering at SCSU.
ReplyDeleteAlthough today was the first day of class, I can tell you that Dr. Fail is very focused on getting everything he has planned done. It is good that he gives us freedom on what the projects, but there are ups and downs to everything.
